As far as The Dark Jurian being my #1 pick is due to it being a lil bit diffrent
than the norm adding new charcters and even the authors alter ego Masami
and i have followed it and supported since i read the first chapter in its
development stages and thats my reasons like them or not ;P

Hands of Fate is a really nice poetic fic that I ould love to see more of.
Confess to You is a marvelous fic, I'd like to see that printed as a book.
That would be so cool. ^_^ Senile Shinto Priest is too damn funny for words,
makes me think of my grandpa. Vacation Days is one of those things that you
just have to read, I printed out a copy that I keep on my desk. To Love in
Hate just came in from nowhere and really drew me in. I want more! Destiny's
Balance has been around for awhile but nobody noticed it till now! Overall
marvelous fics. Other stuff to read is "Heaven and Night", "No Need for Sasami",
"Ryoko's Love", "Empire's Dusk" ooh...there's a whole mess of cool stuff
to read. Well, this is the Child of the Light signing

This time around, I'm voting exclusively for fics that are new, or that have
had new chapters recently added to them. Luckily, Lita just added a new chapter
of "Confess to You," so I can put it in the number one spot. It's a tremendous
epic tale, one of the few that pays due attention to all the OAV characters,
without relying on stale character cliches. "To Love and To Hate" and "Hands
of Fate" are both interesting new serious series: I hope both of them are
continued in the not-too-distant future. Co rtesy of Thomas "009" Doscher
are my #4 and #6 choices: "Ayeka Talk'n Dirty," a *very* funny one-shot;
and "Paradise Lost," a tale of intrigue starring my favorite Juraian princess.
Doscher has produced many fine fics the last few months; if there had be
n more room on the ballot, I might also have voted for "Destiny's Balance,"
"The Princess Who Loved Me," and "A Brief Taste of Eternity." "Anime Christmas
Party 1999!", by the talented Ryan Mathews, is one of the funniest (and WAFFiest)
fics posted to th archive lately. Among the fics that just missed the cut
are the previously mentioned Doscher fics, and Owen Kuhn's very funny "Senile
Shinto Priest." Anway, good work all! Please continue!

There was a lot of good stuff this time out. Cav, I DID enjoy your fic the
most out of the last season's crop, don't let that go to your head though:)
I really liked the Washu characterization (eben if it did have that weird
"Tenchi is mine!" aspect to it.) Mr. Doscher, you are quite talented, DB
is very well constructed and a great fic. Navvy, this fic is incredible,
I voted for it once before, but read it recently and its been on my mind
the past few days, so... The Senile Shinto Preist.... I don't know why, but
I really thought this was funny, funnier, perhaps than it deserves, maybe
its just the whole idea of a senile Yosho:) a note for future ff writers:
don't have more than four titles in your story. Don't give a name to the
overall story, chapter, episode, sub-chapter, part, section, and sub-section.
Its damned annoying after a while. what I wanna see: more Ayeka/Tenchi fics
less lemons more comedy's less 16,349 part mini saga's (feel free to lump
it all into one section! I'm more likey to read it if you do!) a filler chapter
between "Ryoko's Love"

Mainly I'm a Digimon fan. But I thought I'd try more "grown-up" anime and
watched Lain, Evangelion, and Tenchi Muyo. TM really got to me and later
I discovered fanficiton. Hands of Fate was the first one I read, and I loved
it. I've seen some of Ryoke's roughs and other ideas and I have to tell you,
what she has in store is great. Can't wait till that comes out. To Love and
To Hate is a great and memorable fic that will grab your attention. Confess
to You is a marvelous fic. Powerful and very pro-Ayeka (which I think is
so cool). She also supports Mihoshi instead of dropping her off in the

*Votes are in no particular order* I read Heaven and Night back when it was
much shorter and simply named "Happy Birthday Ryoko", I thought it was good
then, now with it's update I can safely say it's going to be one of the more
memorable fics on the site...And speaking of classics, CTY was also one of
the first Tenchi fics I ever read, it melds actual Tenchi continuity and
original ideas so well it's uncanny...DJ, a fic not afraid to be different,
one of the best reads on t e site, it's dark, dramatic, action-packed and
even has a little humor thrown in, everyone should give it a try...PL is
a great fic that thrusts the characters into a very serious situation and
is done masterfully..DB is just awesome, and it gets better w th each chapter,
who would of thought that something this good could have possibly come from
Tenchi Forever..And TL and TH is another new fic that I think will remain
memorable, the characters are put through very heart-wrenching and emotional
situations and who doesn’t love that..course I have allot more
recommendations, unfortunately you're only allowed so many votes, but here
are some other fics I think you should check out.."Beyond", "A Brief Taste

it to other people. Princeless Bride and Paradise Lost both have a way of

Comment time only comes once a season, so here I go. First, I would like
to add my voice to the others who say, 'vote for newer fics.' Young writers
need encouragement. Now then, on with the show. "Heaven and Night," by Cav.
Didn't I tell you last se son that it would be good? ^_^ Well, Cav, you submitted
more so now I have to vote for you. NOW WRITE MORE! "Tenchi Muyo TV," by
Seion. I know. I just got done saying vote for new fics, and here I am voting
for an older one. Truth be told, I just tarted reading it and can't stop
laughing. So it's new to me and deserves a vote. "To Love and To Hate," by
the Total Anime Nut. This is a brand new fic that's written *very* well.
The emotions are expressed in a way that will almost make you cry. It'
...depressing and dark, (at least what we have so far,) but done so well,
that I felt it deserved a vote. "That Time of the Month," by Rene Chavez.
This one made me smile, and fics like that are hard to come by nowadays.
"The Girl Who Wasn't and the Pri cess Who Was," by Pug. I still believe this
to be the best Tenchi/Ranma crossover out there. I believe this because it's
the only one I've actually *enjoyed* reading. "Vacation Days," by D.B. Sommer.
A good Mihoshi fic. Being a fan fic author, myself I know how difficult writing
good Mihoshi can be, and I think the author does splendidly. Well, that's
it. You'll hear from me again next season.

Ok, before I start, I would also like to stress my own feelings that people
should vote for newer fics. Come on people, you should be trying to encourage
the new writers around here. Lita and Happi and tran already have big enough
heads as is :) (sorry gu s don't kill me!). Ok, I know I voted for three
of Dav's fics and I know he happens to be my MST partner. But there's actually
reasons for why. The first of his fics, Destiny's Balance, has actually taken
the mess left by the end of the travesty known as Tenchi Fornever and turned
it into something good. And it's getting better by the chapter. I wish Dav
was around to do the movie instead of you know who. The second, Princeless
Bride, stresses something that has needed to be stressed for some time :
Tenchi is not god! The gi ls can actually look elsewhere for men if he isn't
interested. Despite the fact Ryoko goes back to Tenchi in the end, the mere
exploration into this area has been needed for some time. The last of his
fics, The Kiyone Makibi Affair, is one of the few good Kiyone fics I've ever
seen. And *gasp* she isn't after Tenchi! Authors take note : you can actually
write on the other characters without needing them to be after Tenchi or
to get him. Ok, onto the others. To Love and To Hate is an incredibly good
series that I have to recomend. Yes it is a bit dark and depressing, but
it is incredibly well written and one of the better series to come out lately.
The second, Startica Song, just got fini hed up by Lita and Seion and I was
most pleased with the ending. It was a wonderful adaption of the classic
tale and a very enjoyable read. Finally, I'm going to vote for you Lita because
you got another chapter out -_-. That's the only reason. No serious y, it's
a good fic, but I want to encouarge the older authors to actually *get* more
of their fic out. BTW : These votes were in no particular order.

I love Confess to You. It is what inspired me to write in the first place.
Lita expresses every serious and spiritual thought I ever had (and thats
a lot). It is absorbing, moving, well written and constructed. You see the
story has a frame, a skeleton, and the feelings, emotions, the heart of all
the characters builds up the story. I congratulate Lita on an excellent peice
of work. No Need for Sasami is an excellent peice on its own. It shows the
dark side of obsession and the fears of the characters as their world fals
apart. Ryoko's Love is an excellent fic in its simplicity. No fancy language,
straightfoward enough to be understandable, but still touching enough to
make you shed a tear (or two...or three...or...). I'd vote for more fics
but right now I AM VERY busy. Next season, I promise. See you next time!!!

Is number 5 named after a Shakespearean play? Just asking. Well, I loved
Hands of Fate, very poetic, excellent display of the characters. If Ryoke
just wrote more, I know she'd get number one and I can NOT wait for more
to come! Confess to You would have made a tie but you can't do that. ^_^
It has gotten way better with Chapter Five and you can just tell that Lita
is an Ayeka-fan but likes all the characters. Ryoko's Love got better, but
I want more! Me, I'm greedy. No Need for Sasami is a wonderful fic that seems
to stand on its own. Does anyone else think of Yui as a blonde besides me?

Glad to see that there are some great new fics out, as well as new chapters
for some of the older series. Some of the stuff I voted for hasn't had a
